Ansaid or more commonly known to doctors as Flurbiprofen is a drug that is used to relive pain, tenderness, swelling, and stiffness caused by osteoarthritis. Osteoarthritis is caused by the breaking down of the lining of the joints. Ansaid is also used in treating rheumatoid arthritis, which is arthritis caused by the swelling of the lining of the joints. Ansaid is in a class of medication called NSAIDs. NSAID stands for non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. These drugs work by stopping the body’s production of a substance that causes pain, fever, and inflammation.
Ansaid should be used exactly as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. It usually comes in tablet form and is taken by mouth. Follow the instructions carefully and ask your doctor or pharmacist if you do not understand the instructions. Do not take more or less than is prescribed and do not take it more often than is prescribed. Ansaid is also used in ankylosing spondylitis which is arthritis in the spine. Your doctor may also prescribe this medication for other uses.
